The purpose of this website is to provide information for U.S. owners of Forestex Series 400 and Series 500 hardboard siding installed after January 1, 1985, who believe their siding has experienced excessive warping and/or deterioration.
Berding & Weil LLP along with Co-Counsel represents property owners in a class action lawsuit against Stimson Lumber Company that has been certified by the Court in King County, Washington for the following seven states:
The class alleges that Stimson advertised and marketed its hardboard siding as a durable and suitable product, for exterior use on homes and other structures, when in fact Stimson knew that the siding was inherently defective, with design and manufacturing defects, and would prematurely fail by rotting, buckling, discoloring, delaminating and deteriorating.
